Air conditioning and refrigeration equipment is under continuous pressure to increase efficiency.  Carrying from 10 to over 1,000 amps, our compressor feedthroughs are used in millions of air conditioning and refrigeration units throughout the world. These hermetic terminal seals are built to withstand high pressure and high power in compressors ranging from fractional horsepower units to multiple tons.  Compressor feedthroughs (also referred to as compressor terminal seals) can be combined into a plate assembly to simplify installation and minimize threaded connections and leak paths in larger systems such as chillers and screw compressors. Our hermetic wire feedthroughs are available in a variety of sizes and configurations to support specific OEM requirements for transmission of power and signal.  Feedthroughs can be configured as standard wires, jacketed cables, or customized assemblies integrating hermetic connectors or machined components.  For refrigeration applications operating in hazardous locations such as natural gas compressors, Douglas Electrical Components manufactures explosion-proof feedthroughs to the latest standards. Our feedthroughs create a hermetic seal in pressurized systems to enable measurement inside a liquid or gas process while maintaining a hermetic seal from outside. The hermetic seal can be configured in a variety of housing types including NPT feedthroughs, radial O-rings, and face seals.

Hermetic bulkhead connectors create a simple solution for OEM applications.  Connectors can be selected from virtually any manufacturer and integrated into an assembly that installs quickly with the proper level of system protection.
