Customers can specify the feedthrough as a cable or off-the-shelf connector that is most suitable for the application. Our technical sales engineers will partner with you to ensure the bulkhead ethernet feedthrough meets the enclosure requirements including leak rate, size, temperature, and material compatibility. Using a low outgassing epoxy, our designs combine hermetics with enough design flexibility to customize a design without major tooling or set up fees.
A standard RJ-45 feedthrough is our part number 48590. It features a vacuum face seal mechanical interface and two RJ-45 jacks.
We also have the ability to offer multiple connector designs and types. Douglas can fabricate a feedthrough design with multiple connection points for power and signal. Consolidating the feedthroughs can simplify the design in various applications from control panels to glove boxes. Our Portplates enable customers to design multiple feedthrough needs in a single port.
Customers also have options for other common communication equipment connections including USB 2.0, USB 3.0, firewire, RJ-45, fiber optic, and other off-the-shelf connectors.
