Customizable Hermetic Ethernet Connectors for Your Application

A standard RJ-45 feedthrough is our part number 48590. It features a vacuum face seal mechanical interface and two RJ-45 jacks. In addition to standard designs, Douglas Electrical Components can hermetically seal any non-hermetic RJ-45 connector into your required mechanical interface. For example, we offer a CF feedthrough design with multiple RJ-45 connectors and a simple, single RJ-45 connector in a bulkhead assembly installed with a jamnut.

Standard RJ45 Bulkhead Connector Solutions and Custom Design Capabilities

Using a low outgassing epoxy, our designs combine hermetics with enough design flexibility to customize a design without major

tooling or set up fees. Our team collaborates with you to understand your mechanical interface, the number of RJ-45 connectors needed, and the operating environment, proposing a design that suits your application and budget.

Key Features:

  • Hermetically sealed for vacuum or positive pressure environments
  • Available in a variety of threaded, flanged, or face seal mechanical seals
  • Configurable to meet exact design space requirements

We also have the ability to offer multiple connector designs and types.  Douglas can fabricate a feedthrough design with multiple connection points for power and signal.  Consolidating the feedthroughs can simplify the design in various applications from control panels to glove boxes.  Our Portplates enable customers to design multiple feedthrough needs in a single port.

Customers also have options for other common communication equipment connections including USB 2.0, USB 3.0, firewire, RJ-45, fiber optic, and other off-the-shelf connectors.
