Our hermetic seals and high voltage epoxy hermetic medical feedthroughs address a range of medical and laboratory systems—including x-ray equipment, hyperbaric chambers, medical lasers, spectrum analyzers, autoclaves, lyophilizers, and centrifuges. Custom designed medical feedthroughs are available for the transmission of power and/or signal.
Our epoxy-based technology allows for the flexibility to adhere to different metals and materials while remaining chemically compatible with a variety of liquids and gases. This includes stainless steel, titanium, aluminum, and plastics. Douglas can design and manufacture customized solutions that reduce size and weight.
Hermetic connector assemblies and bulkhead connectors are commonly specified. This includes the utilization of push-pull connectors, circular MIL-spec and metric connectors, coaxial connectors, and rectangular D-sub connectors.
Designs are available for both vacuum and high pressures, with 100% testing on all assemblies by our IPC-620 technicians. Our team prides itself on both service and competitive lead times to ensure continuous flow of medical feedthroughs to your demands.
Our technology is also well suited to replace existing interconnect designs that have become obsolete; Douglas can apply epoxy to a non-hermetic electrical connection version to hermetically seal it while testing and verifying conductivity, leak rate, and high pot to ensure the assembly is ready for install.
Our designs capability is not limited to wire and cable; we offer the design flexibility to hermetically seal circuit board assemblies of medical devices and sensors; add protection while saving space and manufacturing time.
