Douglas Electrical Components, Inc. manufactures custom hermetic bulkhead ethernet feedthroughs. Customers can specify the feedthrough as a cable or off-the-shelf connector that is most suitable for the application. Our technical sales engineers will partner with you to ensure the bulkhead ethernet feedthrough meets the enclosure requirements including leak rate, size, temperature, and material compatibility.
A standard RJ-45 feedthrough is our part number 48590. It features a vacuum face seal mechanical interface and two RJ-45 jacks. In addition to standard designs, Douglas Electrical Components can hermetically seal any non-hermetic RJ-45 connector into your required mechanical interface. For example, we offer a CF feedthrough design with multiple RJ-45 connectors and a simple, single RJ-45 connector in a bulkhead assembly installed with a jamnut.
Using a low outgassing epoxy, our designs combine hermetics with enough design flexibility to customize a design without major tooling or set up fees.
